Check-in

From 15:00, or from 16:00 for groups of three rooms or more. Early check-in depends on availability — otherwise just leave your luggage with us and start the day outside. It is a better use of the morning than waiting.

We need a valid passport or national identity card for every guest, which we are required to register with the authorities. A driving licence does not qualify. Rooms can only be used by guests who have been registered.

A few days before you arrive we send you a link to check in online — please do it before you travel if you can. It is quicker for everyone and means your first afternoon here is yours, not ours.

Keys and the gate

You will receive a room key and a remote control for the entrance gate. The gate bell is not answered between 23:00 and 07:00 — the remote is how you get in, so keep it with you.

If a key or remote is lost or not returned, we charge €50 per set, which is what a replacement costs us.

Wi-Fi

WIFI Legado is free for all guests; the password is on the welcome card in your room. Speed depends on the island as much as on us, so we cannot promise a minimum — but we fix problems quickly when they come up.

Air conditioning

Every room has it, for cooling and heating. Please close windows and doors while it runs — with them open it wastes a great deal of energy and the unit tends to give up.

Drinking water

The tap water here is filtered and treated, but we would not recommend drinking it — groundwater on the island is scarce, and its quality is declining year by year. You will find bottled water in your room instead: still water in glass bottles, one complimentary bottle per guest each day, with more available to buy at the bar.

Housekeeping, linen and towels

Rooms are cleaned daily. Bed linen and room towels are changed every third night — water is genuinely scarce on this island, and that is the reason. If you would like fresh room towels sooner, leave them on the floor or tell reception, and we will change them without a word.

Please let housekeeping in between 08:00 and 15:00, otherwise we cannot clean the room.

The basket in your room holds two yellow pool towels and two grey beach towels. In the same spirit, there is no need to swap these every day — a towel hung up to dry is happily used again tomorrow. When one has genuinely had enough, exchange it for a fresh one at the pool bar / reception. The white bath towels stay in the room.

Valuables

Our honest advice: the truly precious things — expensive watches, fine jewellery — are happiest left at home. A holiday is no place to worry about them.

There are no safes in the rooms, but we keep one at reception and are glad to hold cash and valuables for you. Ask us for a receipt when you leave something with us. For pieces of exceptional value we may not be able to take responsibility, and we will say so at the time. Please lock your door and take the key when you go out — we cannot accept liability for things left unattended in the rooms.

Smoking

Outdoors anywhere, never in the rooms.

Smoke gets into fabric and takes a full deep clean to remove, which costs us €350 — we pass that on. If smoke sets off the fire alarm, the callout costs around €2,000 plus whatever the fire brigade or police charge, and we pass that on too. If the actual cost turns out lower, we charge less. If it turns out there was no cost, we charge nothing.

Breakfast

Included, served daily from 09:00 to 11:30, à la carte and made fresh. From May to September we serve it by the pool; in April and October, and over the winter days, in the winter garden.

We do ask that you come dressed rather than in swimwear.

Bar and snacks

The bar — in the main house or by the pool, depending on the season — is open daily from 08:00 to 22:00, with refreshments all day and snacks between 14:00 and 19:00. If you would like something for after closing, tell us before we shut and we will put it aside.

We do not offer room service or take-away.

Bringing your own

All cold drinks from our menu come with ice if you want it. If you have brought your own and need ice, ask for a bucket at the bar (€6). If you have brought a bottle of wine you have been saving, we will chill it and serve it properly with glasses and a bucket (€15 corkage).

Otherwise we ask you not to bring your own food and drink into the pool or lobby area while the bar is open.

Dinner4Friends

Private dinner events for 15 guests or more, by arrangement. Book well ahead if you have a date in mind. When a dinner is happening we announce it in our newsletter — you can subscribe on the contact page.

Pool

Our saltwater pool is open around the clock throughout your stay. The stairs can be slippery — please use the handrails. Swimming is at your own risk, and jumping in is not permitted at any time.

Please shower before you swim and avoid suntan oils; both make a real difference to the water. A pool towel on the sunbed, please.

The pool is for house guests only — we do not sell day passes.

Quiet

The finca is built for quiet, and most of our guests come for it. Please keep noise down in the rooms, corridors and shared areas, particularly between 22:00 and 08:00 — as a rule of thumb, under 50 dB by day and 35 dB at night.

This is the one rule we do enforce. If it is disregarded after we have asked, we may end the stay.

Waste and recycling

Only toilet paper down the toilet, please — no tissues, tampons or sanitary towels. They do not break down and the blockages they cause are as unpleasant as they sound. Glass, plastic bottles and cans go beside the bin rather than in it, and we take them on from there.

Dogs

We like dogs. One per room, under 10 kg, and no more than two in the house at once — so please arrange it in advance. They should be comfortable around cats: ours were here first. €25 per dog per night, food not included, settled at check-out. Larger dogs we unfortunately cannot take.

Taxis

Reception will arrange a taxi for you between 08:00 and 22:00. Outside those hours, Ibiza Radio Taxi is on +34 971 333 333 or through the Taxiclick app — note that only airport pick-ups can be booked ahead. Uber works on the island too.

Massage and treatments

We can put you in touch with a massage therapist and osteopath we trust, and make the appointment for you. The treatment is agreed with them directly and paid on the day in cash, and their cancellation terms apply.

Tips

If the team looked after you well, a tip is always appreciated — in the box at the front desk or added to your card at final payment. All of it goes to the team. If you would like it to go to someone in particular, just say so.

If you need us

Call +34 690 967383 between 08:00 and 22:00, or at any hour in an emergency. For a real emergency, 112 is free from any phone and reaches police, ambulance and fire brigade.

Check-out

By 12:00. If you need to leave before 08:00, please settle the bill with reception the evening before.

Late check-out depends on the house being free — do ask, and we will do what we can. Without it arranged, we cannot hold the room, and staying past 12:00 is charged at half the room rate until 15:00 and the full rate after that. We would rather tell you now than surprise you on the bill.

Anything left behind

We keep what is left behind for six months. To get it home we use LHost: write to us, and once we have found the item we set the shipment up. LHost then writes to you with the price and the delivery options — you choose, and you pay them directly. No invoice from us, no guessing at postage.

The keeping is on us. After six months we may dispose of what is still here.
